Uchechukwu Ibemere [b. 1995], is a self-taught conceptual photographer and visual artist based in Lagos, Nigeria. His appreciation for the power of visual storytelling is instinctive; capturing monochromatic portraits set in everyday life.
Uche's photographs are inspired by personal experiences, drawing particular awareness to issues concerning environmental pollution [by exploring the use of up-cycled materials] and men's mental health. His portraits encourage an alternative view of masculinity and vulnerability in men.
Uche’s work has recently featured on Apple Instagram, The Guardian, LensCulture & Vogue.
