FOAM Magazine #63 FOOD!

You are what you eat 👅💦 Food fuels us, heals us and brings us together. Yet there is another side to food, which is more political and complex. Nourishment, ritual, labour, culture, ecology, community, exploitation, identity, politics: food is deeply intertwined with our lives — as individuals and communities.

This issue of Foam Magazine is GLORIOUS. Delving into what we are made of, the way food brings us together, drives us apart, and moves us all forward.

With a wide plethora of guests: artists Maisie Cousins, Lin Zhipeng (aka No.223), and Rotimi Fani-Kayode,  alongside texts by Mark Sealy, Siddharta Mitter and Gem Fletcher –- to name a few.

  • Our Ethos

Duality is in our DNA — our founders self-describe as polar opposites — but our vision for championing accessibility, diversity, and equality in the art world is a shared one. It informs everything we do, from the prints we sell to the stories we tell. Art is for everyone and there is no one way to be a collector.

  • Sustainability

Although we’re not perfect, we do pride ourselves on our packaging. We use as little as possible and have worked hard to find the most environmentally-friendly packaging on the market.

Our poster tubes and print boxes are eco-friendly, made from recycled content and fully recyclable. On occasion, to improve our carbon footprint, our prints will be shipped direct from our printers in co-branded packaging.

IN MY WORLD, THE BOOKS WOULD BE NOTHING BUT PICTURES. IN MY WORLD, THE BOOKS WOULD BE NOTHING BUT PICTURES

ECO PACKAGING

We’ve worked hard to find the most environmentally-friendly packaging on the market. Our books are wrapped in recyclable cardboard sleeves and fastened with paper-based tape. Our tape is water activated, so no need for any nasty adhesives or plastics. It’s made from 100% recycled content and printed with soy ink.

Our print boxes and poster tubes are also made from recycled cardboard and are fully recyclable. Finally, our tissue paper is - you guessed it -recycled, eco-friendly and vegan. It's PH neutral and approximately 35% of the electrics used to make it is produced from renewable energy.

Not a bad start 🌱
